Welcome
We are so very excited that The Preschool at Riva Trace Baptist Church is now in its 11th year! 2023 will be our 4th year with The Kindergarten at Riva Trace.
Our vision is to partner with and serve both the young families in our church and those throughout our community by offering an exceptional preschool and kindergarten for our children. This was an integral part of our building plans and design when we constructed our new facility in 2006.
2 year olds
Our two-year-old two days a week classes meet on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Our one day a week two-year-old class meets on Fridays. All classes are from 9:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Children must be 2 in order to enter class.
These classes are designed to introduce children to a structured environment but with ample opportunity for play. The focus is to provide chances to learn to play together as well as to to develop social and proactive pre-academic skills. These students are also exposed to letters, numbers, shapes and colors.
3 year olds
Our three-year-old classes meet on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 9:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Children must be 3 by September 1, 2024.
These classes are designed to introduce children to a structured environment but with ample opportunity for play. The focus is to provide chances to make choices and to develop social and proactive pre-academic skills. These students are also exposed to letters, numbers, shapes and colors.
4 year olds
Our 4-Year-Old classes meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Children must be 4 by September 1, 2024.
The curriculum is used to introduce letters and sounds, math concepts and scripture.
Pre Kindergarten
Pre-Kindergarten classes meet Monday – Friday from 9:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Children entering this class must be entering kindergarten for the next school year or by permission of the director.
These classes continue with the curriculum to provide Pre-Kindergarten students a Bible-based, school readiness program five days a week.
Kindergarten
Kindergarten meets Monday-Friday from 9:15 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. Children entering these classes must be entering must be 5 by September 1, 2024. This class uses the Abeka curriculum to provide Kindergarten students a Bible-based, school program five days a week.
