Programs

EARLY DEVELOPMENT IS FUNDAMENTAL TO THE GROWTH OF YOUR CHILD
The Preschool at Riva Trace believes in fostering child growth and learning in a developmentally appropriate environment.  We are a faith-based program dedicated to providing accessible and affordable education in a loving and nurturing setting.  Our goal is to assist every child in developing academically, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. The Kindergarten at Riva Trace furthers these goals by offering a program that provides an excellent academic foundation for children who will transition to public or private school, while continuing to foster emotion, social, and spiritual growth.

CURRICULUM
The Biggest Story: We also utilize The Biggest Story Biblical Curriculum. The Bible is full of exciting stories that fill children with awe and wonder. But kids need to know how all those classic stories connect to Scripture’s overarching message about God’s glorious plan to redeem his rebellious people. The Biggest Story leads kids and parents alike on an exciting journey through the Bible, connecting the dots from the garden of Eden to Christ’s death on the cross to the new heaven and new earth. This imaginative retelling of the Bible’s core message—how the Snake Crusher brings us back to the garden—will draw children into the biblical story, teaching them that God’s promises are even bigger and better than we think. The entire curriculum is constructed to meet your Preschoolers and Kindergartener where they are cognitively, spiritually, physically, emotionally and socially. Through age appropriate activities, preschoolers are building their spiritual foundation so that by the time they graduate to Elementary Education they know these three basic truths: that God made them, loves them, and that He wants to have a relationship with them.

MUSIC, ART AND MORE!
The Preschool at Riva Trace and the Kindergarten at Riva Trace will provide a fun and creative environment where children can learn about music and art.  We will help children explore how to express their talents through music, creative movement and art. Each class has planned learning activities that are age appropriate for your child.  These opportunities include both active and quiet play as well as indoor and outdoor activities.  We will also help them to understand how these can be an expression of praise and worship to God!
